A monumental circa 1915 vase
bearing the silver marks of Wu Hua
and incorporating the traditional
enamel skills that were prevalent
in Beijing prior to the fall of the
Qing Dynasty.
The vase depicts the “eight
immortals” and is only decorated
on the face side, the reverse side
being plainly polished.
These highly coloured pieces are
now sought after by Chinese
collectors.
This particular example weighs a
hefty 2200gm.
