YKC [MAKER’S NAME UNDOCUMENTED]
            Canton
circa 1840-1900 [Possibly earlier than 1840]

One of the most unusual silver marks in the Chinese Export Silver repertoire inasmuch as it can only be found
on silver filigree card cases. Since filigree silver work is a highly specialised art in itself and since every item
bearing the YKC mark will be indisputably of the highest quality, the workshop creating this mark could only
have been run or headed by an master filigree silversmith.
