The reticulated work on this frame is
really of a high quality. Skilful
overlaying of textures and motifs
create a sense of great depth and
perspective.
The ladle [below] is slightly
perplexing. The pattern used on the
handle is certainly not for the British
market but possibly for the
American market either.
Given the handle carries an
engraved monogram, this could
have been part of a canteen of
cutlery, but as a piece of silver ware,
it is well made and of good quality.
