The previously illustrated filigree casket carries the Yu Ying mark. What is particularly interesting about it is it
            closely resembles the styles used by Jewish Russian silversmiths, particularly Moscow, who also specialised in
            filigree silver work. The casket [illustrated below] is dated 1859 and made by Vasilij Potsov, Moscow and bears
            many of the filigree motifs and “techniques” of the Yu Ying piece. These techniques are quite different to those
            that have their roots in Sephardic silversmithing traditions that became the basis for Chinese filigree silver.
