Sadly a rare mark to find, yet the mark of a silversmith who created some extraordinarily unusual Chinese silver
items.
Incredibly difficult to date this piece accurately, but this bowl can only be described as having succeeded in
creating a fusion of Chinese form and what appear to be Celtic design motifs. Overall, the style has an uncanny
resemblance to Archibald Knox, renowned master of the Arts & Crafts movement. It is also an exemplary piece
of silver ware.
