The vessel form as a large open magnolia flower, carved in openwork
relief around the sides and base with flowering, leafy magnolia
branches, a single chilong with bifurcated tail clambering up one side
of the vessel, the stone with russet and mottled creamy inclusions,
wood stand.

A green jade Mughal-style ewer and cover
20th century
With gently splayed foot, the pear-shaped body decorated in high relief
with a raised drop-shaped medallion to either side, the rim bound in
yellow metal, the cover deeply carved with ruyi medallions beneath the
knop finial, fitted box. 23.4cm (9 1/8in) high (3).
