A SPINACH-GREEN JADE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The compressed body is raised on three lion-mask supports and carved around
the sides with a band of confronted archaistic birds between the pair of openwork
dragon handles. The domed cover is carved with a similar band below a circular
fnial carved in openwork as a coiled dragon clutching a faming pearl. The stone is
of rich green color with darker mottling.
