PARFUMIER
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The parfumier of cylindrical section is elaborately carved in deep
relief and openwork to depict a crab amongst lotus blossoms
growing from long undulating stems bearing curly tendrils and
leaves. The mouth and foot are mounted with hardwood caps.

The brush pot is carved and veneered in low relief on each side
with a panel enclosing flowering leafy branches, including lotus
and prunus.

The box and cover is tightly woven and bound with interlacing
sections and decorated to the top and sides in openwork and
adorned with decorative knots.
