A RARE CARVED TIXI LACQUER SPITOON, ZHADOU
15th/16th century
The compressed globular body deeply carved with eight ruyi shaped
pommels, rising to a wide flared mouth carved with eight further
pommels, the layers of red lacquer appearing in two thin lines
sandwiched between the layers of lustrous brownish-black guri, the
interior and the base lined with silver.
