A SMALL PALE GREY AND RUSSET AGATE
‘PEKINGESE DOG’ PENDANT
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The long-haired, recumbent dog is shown with head turned backwards and
with a curved bar between the forepaws that forms a loop. The russet color
in the stone has been used to highlight the head, the loop and the tail,
and there is also a moss-green marking that highlights the head.

A SMALL BANDED AGATE
CARVING OF CLAMS AND A TOAD
18TH-19TH CENTURY
Three clams of diferent sizes have been carved from the buf, grey and white
banded areas of the stone and a toad crouched to one side has been carved
from the mottled grey area.
