Each shallow, circular washer is carved on the top with a chilong clambering around the rim.
The stone is of soft greyish-white color with patches of pale green.

The gourd is carved at the top with two monkeys and around the sides
with three bats, their eyes picked out in the dark brown markings in the stone,
as are several insects.
