          AN UNUSUAL SMALL GREEN-GLAZED
          POTTERY ‘PILGRIM’S’ FLASK
          TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907)
          The fask, of oval section, has pierced leaf-shaped
          handles on the shoulders, and is molded in high
          relief on each side with a frolicking monkey holding
          a bottle and a cup between two fower heads and
          within a border of bosses that conforms to the
          shape of the vessel, all under a thin glaze of
          green color.
