AN UNUSUAL BLUE AND WHITE STEM CUP
17TH CENTURY
The rounded sides of the upper section are decorated with a scene of a young acolyte standing on a
petal foating in a river as he bows to the seated fgure of Guanyin. The stem is encircled by a narrow
collar and the domed base is decorated with small clouds between waves crashing against rocks.
