A PAINTED ENAMEL DOUBLE-GOURD VASE
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
清乾隆 銅胎畫琺瑯「大吉」葫蘆瓶
The upper and lower sections of the vase are decorated with eight large red-enamelled characters, reading
Daji which may be translated as ‘Great Fortune’. The characters are set against a bright turquoise ground,
with fowering and fruiting double-gourd vines, and butterfies in fight.
