A LARGE PALE CELADON AND GREY JADE ‘LUOHAN AND MOUNTAIN’ GROUP
18TH CENTURY
清十八世紀 青玉羅漢圖山子
The boulder is carved in the form of a jagged rock emerging from waves with various wutong and pine
trees growing from within the crevices. A luohan is carved to the centre, standing upon the waves, holding
a scroll in one hand and a staf in the other hand. The stone is of a celadon tone merging to mottled and
streaky grey areas with a few minor russet inclusions.
