    A PALE CELADON JADE CARVING OF A BOY AND BUFFALO

    清十八世紀 青白玉水牛牧童擺件

    The stone is carved to depict a recumbent bufalo with its head turned to one side and its legs tucked
    beneath its body. A boy is carved clambering upon the animal’s back, holding a sprig of millet. The stone is
    of a pale celadon tone with some minor mottled and russet inclusions.
