AN UNUSUAL ‘XIPI’ MARBLED LACQUER BRUSH POT,
BITONG
Kangxi six-character mark and probably of the period
Of lozenge form, raised on four shaped feet, the exterior applied with
a thick layer of red, ochre olive green and black lacquer, worked to a
marbled effect, the interior and base in black lacquer.
