             A XINGYAO LOBED TRIPOD JAR
             10TH CENTURY

           The jar is of penta-lobed form with short
           neck and is raised on three short feet. It is
           covered in a glaze of pale olive tone. The
           base is left unglazed.
           5º in (13.3 cm.) diam.

             A LARGE XINGYAO CUSHION-FORM
             BOX AND COVER
             10TH CENTURY

           The box and cover are of conforming
           domed shape and are covered in a soft
           grayish-white glaze with some grey
           spotting. The base of the box retains
           three spur marks from the fring.
           5√ in (14.9 cm.) diam.
