A PAINTED POTTERY FIGURE OF AN
EQUESTRIAN
TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907)
The male equestrian is seated upright
with hands raised as if holding the reins of
his horse, which stands foursquare with
mouth open in a bray. There are remnants
of red, ochre and black pigment.
