A MOLDED AND FAMILLE ROSE ENAMELED PORCELAIN
SNUFF BOTTLE
Qianlong mark, 1800-1850
Of high shouldered flattened form with a deeply waisted neck painted
in key-fret pattern, slightly convex lip, the interior unglazed, deftly
molded around the side walls with Buddhist lions cavorting with
ribbon-tied balls between a formalized cloud collar and a band of
upright lappets surrounding an oval foot ring, enclosing the four-
character mark in seal script; some of the molded details, as well as
the mouth and foot rims picked out in gilt highlight.
