70 | BONHAMS The semicircular form bottle carved in rounded relief to the front
and reverse with gathered pleats at the neck and shoulders above
symmetrically designed leafy flowers, with a pair of apertures on
the narrower sides of the neck for attachment; the white stone with
russet markings.

A CARVED WHITE JADE SNUFF BOTTLE
1850-1920
Well-hollowed, the slightly tapering bottle with rounded corners rising
towards a cylindrical neck, subtly recessed lip, spreading oval foot ring,
carved to the front with two galloping horses under a pine tree rising
precariously from a hillside, the reverse undecorated; the grayish-white
stone displaying off-white inclusions and natural fissure veins.
