Paul V. and

           Elizabeth J. Colaianni

Paul and Elizabeth travelled the world exploring and appreciating many cultures. Paul’s 30 year
career as an Air Force Officer, afforded them many adventures.
Paul earned his degree in History from the University of Pittsburgh after his service in the Army
Air Corps during World War II. He soon married his high-school sweetheart, Elizabeth, and
together they began their 66 year marriage, and Air Force career.

When Paul was assigned to Korea in the 1960s, he became enthralled with the Korean people
and their culture. He enthusiastically learned everything he could about their history.
Along the way, he started collecting pottery and artwork he believed to be historically significant.
He spent his life studying and researching these items and he loved sharing the information he
would find to spark an interest in those around him. He loved art of all kinds, but his passion lay
in ancient Korean art. With the support of his loving wife, Elizabeth, he was able to pursue that
           passion.
Sadly, Paul passed away in 2015, but Elizabeth believes he would have gotten great pleasure
from seeing his collection offered at auction so that others may appreciate the works of art he
           so loved.
