A RARE WHITE PORCELAIN TALL-FOOTED BOWL
Joseon dynasty (1392-1897), 19th century
The wide bowl thickly potted and set on a tall cylindrical foot splaying slightly
toward the recessed base, the body covered in a clear glaze with tinges
of blue where it drips down the exterior from the rim, the foot showing
encrustations of kiln grit and reddish iron oxide
With a wood storage box inscribed on the exterior Hakuji takaashi wan
(White porcelain tall-footed bowl) and on the interior Richo jidai (Joseon
Perod) and with a collector’s cipher
