               Sketch the head, and use the guidelines to place the rest of               the body as you see them in that specific pose.               One head length down from the bottom of her chin might               line up with the top of the knee, for instance. But you're               still drawing the largest shapes first, and you're still giving               yourself guidelines for placing the body parts.               If you work this way, starting with the large shapes and               then  giving  yourself  guidelines  for  the  other  body  parts               before you draw them, most of your proportion problems               will vanish immediately.               Sometimes, though, you'll find that even when you draw               the  body  parts  within  your  very  carefully  measured               guidelines, they still don't look right.               In my experience, two things are usually to blame.
