Just as I was trying to decide about the weather and to load the second kayak. As if a ghost on
the water suddenly floated up, there was a guy sitting low in the water paddling up and landing
at Coffee Pot.
Before he even got out of his SOT, he mentioned he had two more guys coming in a canoe. He
landed and pulled up his Kayak and not long after that the canoe arrived. Two guys landed
with it and just like their partner on the Sit on Top kayak, they immediately pulled ashore and
started unloading into one of the cabins.
The rain had stopped and while I previously had a list of names and people, sadly that too was
one I would lose later.
So….SOT started building a fire. Not any fire but a very carefully constructed fire and he had
one of the canoe guys go out and look for firewood.
It was interesting but for the next few hours this slowly built fire would become the center of
attention for all of us as we talked about where we were from, where we were going , and how
we were going to get there.
I was fascinated with how much stuff SOT had loaded on his boat and he pulled it out and set
it up and it turned out he had some pretty nice camera gear and even a light reflector set up.
