I didn’t want to interrupt their routines so I wandered in an out of conversations with them and
it turned out they had planned this expedition since high school and now they were doing it.

They were going to split up and meet back up down the river because one of them had a gig as

a photographer for the Fish opening.

I knew nothing about all that so I listened attentively.

SOT seemed to be the outdoors man and sort of leader while the other two were having fun

         and going along too.

They razzed each other and the comraderies were fun to see and participate.

But when they pulled out a battery charger to recharge their phone I jumped on the chance to
get my phone charged as I hadn’t spoken to Lori for several day with no phone charge.

Once my phone was charging we all began to tell stories of our adventures so far. They were

moving along pretty fast but they had seen the two trees I had cleared and were impressed I
         had done it.

I was glad they saw them. If a tree falls in the forest…..

Darkness fell and as the fire got started it was humorous to try to keep going as almost all

wood was wet and stripping the branches and logs was not working so well. But eventually we
all sat around a fire and warmed up to it as the night was damp and chilly. Campfires really are

         made for fellowship.

After watching SOT start and build a fire and keep it going, over an hour to do, I kept my start-
         er fluid out of sight.

I was fascinated as they had hanging sleeping bag hammocks and they were trying to get all

three in the cabin and strung up. I donate some rope and they got them all up.

Meanwhile I went back to the other cabin with my tent inside and went to sleep. I was glad to
         have the cell phone charged.

These guys were Minnesotan and seemed to do the weather fine. Me? Every night was wet,

damp and cold so far. And with my odd assortments of layers I just couldn’t get it right.

My “rash skins” clothing were fine but often got wet and needed drying. My midi “body
glove” was warm enough but I sweat inside it and it was great at night with no activity, but any

moving and I soaked it in sweat, which made me nervous when it was cold.

Different sports tech seemed to work for different times, but this was only week two and I was
still adjusting to varied weather conditions.
