This was my chance to repack. Now I had no choice.
I could see with the cargo net in place, cargo boxes and miscellaneous items all still intact,
though I was sure, wet or soaked.
I actually passed the kayak by and looked downriver and walked a little forward looking for a
campsite or a wide spot in the marsh or anything I could tell myself to stop.
Then I saw ahead of me what had to be Wanagan.
The Sun would set before I had made one trip with the upright kayak to what did turn out to be
Wanagan and more campground than I really expected.
Most of twilight I used having to take a great majority of the gear out of the kayak before up
righting and reloading. Needless to say I didn’t carefully repack, I tossed it all in and took it to
Wanagan to regroup and restart.
