I'll drop and rise
        To seize the everlasting prize, To know Thou tak'st me for Thine own,
        And shout while passing through the air, O what a happiness is this! 5/6
        Farewell, farewell sweet hour of prayer. 4/4
        HOME                                                    Verse 6
        290 Abba Father let me be Nothing on earth do I desire
        Abba Father let me be,                                  But Thy pure love within my breast;
        Your and Yours alone
        May my will forever be, Evermore Your own. This, only this, will I require,
        Never let my heart grow cold, Never let me go. And freely give up all the rest. 6/6
        Abba Father let me be, HOME
        Yours and Yours alone 292 Eternal Light! Eternal Light!
        HOME                                                    Verse 1
        291 Come Saviour Jesus from Eternal Light! Eternal Light!
        above! How pure the soul must be,
        Verse 1
                                                                When, placed within Thy searching sight,
        Come, Saviour, Jesus, from above! It shrinks not, but with calm delight,
        Assist me with Thy heavenly grace; Can live, and look on thee. 1/5

        Empty my heart of earthly love, Verse 2
        And for Thyself prepare the place. 1/6 The spirits that surround Thy throne
                                                                May bear the burning bliss;
        Verse 2
        O let Thy sacred presence fill, But that is surely theirs alone,
        And set my longing spirit free! Since they have never, never known
                                                                A fallen world like this. 2/5
        Which pants to have no other will,
        But day and night to feast on Thee. 2/6 Verse 3
                                                                O how shall I, whose native sphere
        Verse 3 Is dark, whose mind is dim,
        That path with humble speed i'll seek,
        Wherein my Saviour's footsteps shine; Before the Ineffable appear,
                                                                And on my naked spirit bear
        Nor will I hear, nor will I speak, The uncreated beam? 3/5
        Of any other love but Thine. 3/6
                                                                Verse 4
        Verse 4 There is a way for us to rise To that sublime
        Henceforth may no profane delight abode:
        Divide this consecrated soul;
                                                                An offering and a sacrifice,
        Possess it Thou, who hast the right, A Holy Spirit's energies,
        As Lord and Master of the whole. 4/6 An Advocate with God. 4/5

        Verse 5                                                 Verse 5
        Thee I can love, and Thee alone,
        With pure delight and inward bliss:

                                                         Return
