        Verse 1                                                 See the fields of ripening grain,
        Come, ye thankful people, come, Raise the song          Scattered over hill and plain,
        of harvest home!                                        The harvest is plentiful,
        All is safely gathered in,                              The labourers are few,
        Ere the winter storms begin;                            The Saviour waits and waits for you.

        God, our Maker, doth provide                            Chorus
        For our wants to be supplied;                           Where are the reapers?
        Come to God's own temple, come;                         Where are the reapers?

        First the blade, and then the ear,                      And claim those who have gone astray.
