Praise for the morning! Praise for them,
springing Fresh from the Word! Verse 5
Comfort every sufferer Watching late in pain;
Verse 2 those who plan some evil From their sin restrain.
Sweet the rain‟s new fall 5/8
Sunlit from heaven,
Like the first dewfall On the first grass. Verse 6
Through the long night-watches
Praise for the sweetness May thine angels spread
Of the wet garden, Their white wings above me,
Sprung in completeness Where his feet pass. Watching round my bed. 6/8

Mine is the sunlight! When the morning wakens,
Mine is the morning Then may I arise
Born of the one light Eden saw play! Pure and fresh and sinless,
In thy holy eyes. 7/8
Praise with elation,
Praise every morning, God‟s re-creation Of the Verse 8
new day! Glory to the Father,
HOME Glory to the Son,
And to thee, blest Spirit,

Night is drawing nigh, 502 New every morning is the
Shadows of the evening love

O timely happy, timely wise, hearts that with

Now the darkness gathers, view
Stars their watches keep, Which evermore makes all things new. 1/7
Bird and beasts and flowers

New every morning is the love
Verse 3 Our wakening and uprising prove,
Jesus, give the weary Through sleep and darkness safely brought,

With thy tenderest blessing May their eyelids Verse 3

Hover around us while we pray;
Verse 4 New perils past, new sins forgiven,
