Father, let me dedicate Glory to thee, my God, this night
All this year to thee, For all the blessings of the light;
In whatever worldly state Thou wilt have me be Keep me, O keep me, King of kings, beneath

Can a child presume to choose Where or how to Verse 3
live? Can a father's love refuse All the best to Teach me to live, that I may dread
give? The grave as little as my bed;
Teach me to die, that so I may
More Thou givest every day Rise glorious at the judgement day. 3/6
Than the best can claim,
Nor withholdest aught that may Verse 4

And may sweet sleep mine eyelids close; Sleep

Joys that yet are mine;

Brighter rays may shine; When in the night I sleepless lie,
My mind with heavenly thoughts supply;
Let my glad heart, while it sings, Let no ill dreams disturb my rest,
Thee in all proclaim, No powers of darkness me molest. 5/6

Praise god, from whom all blessings flow;

If Thou callest to the cross, Praise him above, ye heavenly host;
