 Through a department overview, students gained   School Partner: Comsewogue High School

 of procurement within the organization.  This was   The day began with a meet and greet with

 Project Access

 Students experienced how clinical and non-clinical

 Students learned about numerous careers
 throughout the hospital, exploring exciting new   Revenue Cycle - Melville
 roles in both clinical and non-clinical disciplines.

 Plainview Hospital -   The program emphasized the requirements and
 STEM skills needed to be a supervisor in Revenue

 Emergency Department  Cycle. Students were shown how STEM is applied
 to everyday tasks with the use of applications,
 logic, and social skills to help meet health system
 School Partner: William Floyd High School  goals and priorities.

 Students were immersed in the day-to-day
 excitement of working in an emergency room. They
 were taken through several typical ED scenarios
 and participated in hands-on simulation learning.
