Findings
1. Analysis of the presented video images confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed
technique for researching fast processes accompanying melting and transfer of electrode metal
in gas-shielded arc welding with a consumable electrode.
2. The quality of the images of the contours of the transferred droplets increases in the case
of an increase in the generation of the power of laser coherent radiation while simultaneously
filtering the obtained images using special light filters.
3. Special WeldStat software has been developed, which allows processing the oscillograms of
a b c the main energy parameters of the mode and performing the subsequent statistical processing
of the characteristics of heat and mass transfer.

In the course of experimental studies, it was found that the operation of the laser creates
