nation’s capital, Checks and Balances, Inc. (referred to as “we”, “our” or “us” as appropriate), an
Employer of Record solutions company, provides a total human resource and payroll outsourced
solution for our client companies.

What does Checks and Balances Inc. do?

We work with our client companies to help them more effectively manage critical human
resource responsibilities such as, policy development, employee benefits, employee relations,
affirmative action, compensation design, payroll, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and
much more.

What are the responsibilities of the client company and Checks and Balances

Inc.?

Our client companies assume responsibility for recruiting and selecting the applicants who they
feel are the best fit for assignment at their site. The individuals selected for assignment
become our employees as the employer of record. We assume responsibility and liability for

payroll and human resource-related processes. Our clients, however, manage the day-to-day
work of those on assignment.
