People
& Training
After a very busy month, we are delighted to share some highlights in
relation to our People.
As you will see in this issue, we are sharing business performance information
to support your ongoing performance discussions with your line manager.
You will have received your mid-term review guidelines and forms, with the
focus on conversations that support our employees with constructive
feedback on their performance, and how that links with the performance
of the team/centre and the overall business. As per communication, this
should be completed by 18 September 2019.
th
Employee engagement
Following from the Focus Groups we held in July, here are some early
snippets of information. We will share full feedback in September.
The HR Team completed 10 Focus Group workshops that were open to all
employees, with 77 people having attended from across operations, sales
and central teams. Thank you to all those who participated, and for such
open and honest conversations. It is important to repeat that confidential
information expressed in these groups is not personalised to any one
attendee, but instead are based on honest thoughts and feelings about
how we can make LEO a better place to work.
After over 15 hours of listening, we have a very good idea what works well
at LEO, and what needs to be addressed. The good news is that since
the Employee Engagement Survey in 2017 and the survey completed by
‘Someone in London’ in early 2019, we have seen an increase in people
saying they are “proud to work for LEO”. However, we know that this pride
for LEO is also tainted by the need for significant improvement in many
areas. We will share more information about these changes throughout
August and September, and then regularly via the LEO Standard and other
employee forums in the future. This will be led by our Executive Team and
other senior leaders.
