P. 63

“Fullness of Deity” literally means, “the totality of the divine powers and attributes”, “state of being
God, Godhead”, “having a divine nature”, “the being of the very essence of deity.” It is deity, not
divinity. It is not referring to merely divine attributes, but to the divine nature itself!
It is theotatos somatikos: “Godhead in the FLESH”

               Hebrews 1:3

3 He (Jesus Christ) is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds
the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of
               the Majesty on high…

               Hebrews 1:8
                8
But of the Son He (Father) says,
"YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER,
AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM.

The argument of Hebrews is that Jesus is superior to the angels because He is worshipped by them. He
is superior to the prophets and to Moses…because He is eternal God. He is the creator of all of them!

                       2
(vs. 2-3) in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through
whom also He made the world.
                3
And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by
the word of His power When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the
               Majesty on high,

               John 1:1

                1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Greek word logos is the word that has been translated into the English word, Word. It literally
means “the expression of God” or “all who is God.” Later in verse 14 it says, “And the Word become
flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace
and truth.” It is obvious, as John gave witness to Jesus, that these verses are describing Jesus as the
               God-man.

Cross reference this with a few verses later:

               John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only
Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

                Mark 1:1
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
