It is with pleasure that SV announces the addition of Bambi Von Smasher’ to our team of Roller Derby
Coaching Presenters.

Bambi has been an active member of CRDL since its inception in 2008. In her time with the league she has
skated every home and rep season (until she ruptured her ACL this past July) as well as chaired the Training
Committee, the Efficiency Committee and sat on the Executive Committee twice.

Bambi has skated in 71 games with the Vice City Rollers - A squad from 2010 – 2015 and was annually
elected by her team mates to be the squad captain – until she opted for a break in 2016.
She was a skating member of Team Australia in 2011 - held in Toronto Canada, and 2014 - held in Dallas
Texas. The lead up to these tournaments involved a great deal of preparation and Australian wide travel for
training opportunities.

Since 2008 she has regularly run training sessions for CRDL as either Chair of the Training Committee or as a
very active trainer. She has always been heavily involved in training delivery and development at CRDL. She
has led the development and training of the VCRs since 2010 – during which time they climbed to number 3 in
Australia as evidenced at the 2014 TGSS and more recently number 4 in 2016.

Bambi ran her first course late last year at CRDL with excellent feedback from participants.
