TheGeneral Orientation Programis usually scheduled in the morning, and in the afternoon, the freshmenand
transferees have their College Orientation Program headed by the Deans of the Colleges. There, all the faculty
members and staff of the college are introduced to the students. They are also given lectures on matters such as
properwearingofuniform,droppingadaddingof subjects, complianceincaseof incompletegrade, andother university
policies.
➢ TheGuidanceProgramanditsServices
The Guidance Program is geared towards the attainment of well-rounded students responsible, morally and
socially upright. It offers the following services that will help students discover their ability, potentialities and develop
themtobecome awell-roundedperson.
a. GuidanceService–aset of servicesusingan integratedapproachtothedevelopment of well-functioning
individualsprimarily byhelpingthemtoutilized their potentialstothe fullest.
b. Counseling – individual or group intervention designed to facilitate positive change in student behavior,
feelings andattitudes.
c. Appraisal – gathering of information about students through the use of psychological
tests andnon-psychometric devices.
d. Follow-up – a system monitoring to determine the effectiveness of guidance activities, in general, and
placement inparticular.
e. Referral – refers to coordination multi-disciplinary team of specialists to ensure that special needs of
