a. NewOrganization–any group of at least fifteen(15) students may applytothe OSAStoformanorganization.
Theletterofapplicationmustbeaccompaniedbythe following:
1. Constitution andBy-Laws;
2. List of electedofficers for thecurrentyear;
3. Proposedprogramof activitiesandprojects;
4. Nameofthree(3) FacultyorEmployeeswiththeir letters ofacceptanceas advisers tobegiventothe
Director of OSAS
5. Complete list of members.
b. Renewal of recognized organizations/clubs – The organization must submit all the requirements including
accomplishmentreportsofthepreviousschoolyearstarting fromtheyear of their operation.
c. Conditions for non-recognitionof studentorganization
1. It does not meet therequirements for recognition and/or renewal;
2. It still under penalty/ies;
3. It fails to meet thedeadline for filing of recognition/renewalset bytheOSAS.
4. CertificateofRecognition
Therecognitionofastudentorganizationshallbeapre-conditionforits operationinthe University.Acorresponding
Certificateof RecognitionshallbeissuedbytheOSASupon therecommendationoftheDeanoftheCollegewhere
the organization operates. However, such certificate shall only beeffective for one (1) school-year and subject for
renewal for thesucceeding school-yearthat theorganizationstill exists.
5. Membership
Membershiptoorganizationsshall bedeterminedbythe respectiveorganizations as embodiedintheir constitution
andby-laws.
6. QualificationofCandidates
Election procedures and filing of candidacy for any position in any organization must be in conformity with the
provisionsof theconstitution andby-laws of theorganization.
7. Conduct ofStudentActivities
Request tohold activitiesmust befiledat theOSASwithinfiveworkingdays beforethe scheduled activity.
8. NatureofActivity
Organizations are encouraged to have relevant activities which are focused on the following areas: educational,
religious/moral, social, cultural, and entrepreneurial, environmental, and financial assistance. (Student Handbook
