InstitutionalGuidelines onStudentGrievance

REFERENCETOACOMMITTEEONDISCIPLINE/APPEAL

Section1. The Office of Student Services shall create a committee on investigation which shall compose of the
Director/ Chief of Student Services, Director of Instruction/ ARA, two senior faculty and the SSC
President of thecampus.

The committeeshallconductinvestigationand collect piecesof evidencethat may beusedasbasesof
their findingsandrecommendations. Anyappealmaybe addressedtothe CampusHeador University
Presidentwhomaylikewisecreatea CommitteeonAppealswhichshallbetaskedtoreviewthefindings
ofthecommittee oninvestigationandmakefinalrecommendations onthecase.

Section2. No disciplinary proceedings shall beinstituted except for conduct prohibited by law or bytherulesand
regulationspromulgated byadulyconstitutedauthorityofthe university.

1. Adisciplinary proceeding shall beinstitutedupon:

1. filing of written complaint under oath by the student complainant to the Officeof
StudentAffairs andServices;
2. submission ofofficial reportabout theviolation of existing rulesand regulations.

2. There shall be an official entry book for the purpose of specifying the person charged, the
complainant andhis/herwitnesses andthesubstanceofthe charge.

Section3. In instances wherethedisputeis betweenastudent andafaculty oremployee, with thestudent asthe
respondent, thecaseshall behandled bytheOSAS.

Section4. In caseswherethefaculty orstaffis therespondent, themembers of thecommittee shall beappointed
by theDirector of Instruction/ARA.

Section5. In instances where the dispute is between or among students, the case shall be handled by a special
committeewhichiscomposedof OSASChief/Director,SSC Adviser, SSCPresident, CCLChief Justice
andCCLSpeakerof theHouse.

Section6. In instanceswherethedisputeis betweenor amongstudentsof thedifferent campuses,thecaseshall
be handled by the University Student Tribunal which composes of SSCF officers, SSCChief Justices
andSSCSpeakersof theHouse.
