Leaders take responsibility for their own choices. They recognize where they have control or influence. Even in situations where they have no control, they always have control over how they respond. They see themselves as an author in their own story, not a victim. A person who exhibits victim thinking and victim behaviours is not going to positively influence others. A person who exhibits accountability thinking positively influences others and builds trust.
