All in all, I thought that the improvements they planned to make were going to be fantastic, and
way over due for a property that had been constructed in the late 1970’s and hadn’t really been
upgraded since. There was one major alteration when they changed the footprint of the property
to include a self-contained annex for their mother, but other than that, the place hadn’t been
changed.
I was excited to see the place when they had finished, but also offered to help out if they needed
it – since I was otherwise ‘unemployed’ at this point in time. I left just before dark, returning
home to find Gilbert still glued to the TV. We catch some MSNBC and Al Jezeera news - I used
to avoid watching local news because the production quality is almost as bad as the subjects they
report about – even more depressing. But now, it’s the only way to catch up on what’s happening
across the country, especially as it relates to the spread of COVID-19 and how the Government
is trying to combat it. Then we watched a couple of the TV drama series “Law and Order”,
before retiring for the night.
Added another eight pages to my novel – things were hotting up at the UB.
Oh, Frank had found the phone, but the darn thing wouldn’t charge. That’s the reason he
replaced it with a new phone. Sue said she might have an old one…
