Awake.
7.00am:
Got up, shaved, showered…you know the drill…
Coffee.
I have to call into the office today. Boss wants’ to talk, but I can’t decide whether to go this
morning or after lunch, around 2pm… Another coffee, then I decide, let’s get this over with. So,
go down to Frank’s house, as I get there they are going out themselves. So I don’t feel guilty
asking him to move his truck again.
First, have to get some gas, so I stop at Puma on the highway and put in $30 of gas, I also give
the attendant $5 for cleaning the truck’s windows, which haven’t been washed for weeks, then
head straight for the office. All quiet on the highway and the compound is dead quiet too.
Boot up the PC, log into gmail – no emails of any consequence, so send the Boss an email to let
him know I’m; log into hotmail – 84 emails to check. A few minutes later, having deleted all but
two, I’m now compiling another spreadsheet of details for the Olympic Association. This time
they’re after contact details of the officers of all sports organizations because they’re updating
their own database. I fill in what I can. The other email I didn’t delete turned out to be nothing
important either, so I deleted it.
Two hours later, Boss calls.
30 minutes later – seems I have a new mission: learn all
about hydro-power so that I can pitch small and medium
hydropower projects to, as yet, unidentified people who
would like to be able to sell electricity to the national
grid via BEL. Sounds good, I think. First though, I gotta
learn about hydropower turbines, and where exactly
hydropower could work best in Belize and benefit both
investors, stakeholders and obviously provide BEL with
an energy-efficient renewable source of energy. I’m a
little confused though because from what I do know
