Belize Zoo, otherwise known as the biggest little Zoo in the world, is a fascinating place to visit
– they look after so many creatures which are right there close up, I mean, we saw all the animals
and got very close them all, even the Jaguars, Ocelots, Harpy Eagle, Toucans, Spider and Howler
Monkeys and, of course, that Croc. The guide told us their histories, what ate, where they lives
and even stories about how some of them came to be gifted to the Zoo. Very impressed. We’ll be
going back to do some more voluntary / teambuilding work again soon.
Anyways, back to today: Lunch – Mac & Cheese
Heard on the news, this evening, that two cops and four coast guard officers have been charged
with breaching curfew law. All six were arrested, off duty, drinking. Fair dues to the police for
this, couldn’t have been easy arresting fellow officers, for sure. But the alarming thing is that one
of the cops has been on social media claiming that his ‘north side” colleagues have now started a
war with the ‘Southside’ police (his police sector), by arresting him. He feels that he shouldn’t
have been arrested, presumably because he is a police officer. Well, have we got news for him:
he only recently joined the force and he’s on probation, so, it is very likely, his career will be
short-lived. Thankfully. Noticeably, the coast guard officers have accepted their wrong doing
and have said nothing. That’s being professional and accepting responsibility for your actions.
Lights out at 10pm
