KENKEN INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Each year, KenKen International conducts a competition that brings together the best KenKen players from around the globe to compete in a thrilling
contest.Created by Japanese Math teacher Tetsuya Miyamoto in 2004, KenKen required the skill of using that exact right combination of mathematical
calculation and logical reasoning to solve the puzzle and it soon became an international sensation under the name KenKen. Dubai Gem Private School
has been participating in KenKen International Competition for the last three years.

In KIC 2019, 25 students from DGPS won bronze medals and 13 students won silver medals. 13 students qualified for the National round in UAE.
Shyam Soundararajan of Year 10 was ranked 39 in the National Level Competition.

THE INTERNATIONAL MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIAD (IMO)

The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the World Championship Mathematics Competition for High School students
and is held annually in a different country. This is one of the most prestigious and competitive International Olympiad Examinations.
A few of our students participated in the competition and were presented with certificates.

DGPS MATH EXHIBITION 2020
Dubai Gem Private School brought to its students the Math Exhibition of 2020 with the determination to showcase the abundance of existing
mathematical concepts and highlight the subject’s importance. The exhibition took place on the 14th of January 2020 and students had an
opportunity to create projects with cross-curricular links to numerous other subjects such as Physics, Robotics, and Biology. Additionally, the
Annual Stem Competition for Years 7-12, invited students to programme and modify a standard EV3 robot to be more effective in its tasks.
