CHEVRON READERS’ CUP
DGPS students participated in the
prestigious annual event, Chevron
Readers’ Cup, organised by Emirates
Airline Festival.
Avid readers from Year 6 created
ripples on the national platform in the
quiz category. They competed against
24 schools across UAE to bring
laurels to their alma mater.
WORLD BOOK AND COPYRIGHT DAY
“You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax. All you need is a book.” Dr. Seuss
Rediscovering the timeless magic of books was celebrated on the World Book Day. April 2020 will be etched in history as the beginning of another
era with regard to reading books. The unwarranted confinement to our personal spaces has compelled us to be vociferous tech-oriented readers.
The conventional World Book day has become World E-book Day for the current generation. All tech-savvy students and staff of DGPS made it a
point to read e-books or conventional print books.
I LOVE TO WRITE
“The desire to write grows with writing.” Desiderius Erasmus
The inception of I love to Write Day began
from November 15th, 2002 when noted
non-fiction author Mr.John Riddle propagated
the idea of having a creative writing session
with the student community. Children of all age
groups wrote down a piece in prose or poetry
to express their imagination, thoughts and
understanding. Budding writers of DGPS
expressed themselves across all year levels.
