WORLD CULTURE
“The beauty of the World lies in the diversity of its people.” Unknown
Learning about cultures and traditions helps children to build a sense of identity and knowledge of the world around them. World Culture involves
the study of social interactions and culture. It is important to recognise that everyone has a cultural background comprising traditions, skills and
languages and that these mould one’s identity.
During Circle Time children build warm and positive relationships besides collaborating to make projects and share knowledge. Current affairs
including the Australian Bush fire, the UAE's space mission and the Expo are some of the topics discussed actively. Parents are integral partners
in this project where they help their children to learn through research. The Parent Council played an active role in planning and supporting the
Cultural Week organised for the students in December 2019. The celebration of the UAE National Day was a key event, wherein the rich culture
and heritage of UAE was showcased.
