Special Note to Executives

Just as your Assistant is preparing to meet your

expectations as well as planning towards their own
personal growth, you should be making sure to initiate those

conversations about expectations early on. The confidence to step

up and start these conversations with a new Manager doesn’t always
appear right off the bat, and that’s okay. It’s important for you to see

Day One as a new page for you both, a chance to clarify the
expectations for your Assistant and vice-versa. Nothing plants seeds

for a successful working relationship like open and clear
communication.
