Small Domestic/Sump Drainage Pumps
There are many different sizes & configurations of submersible drainage pumps, all suitable for
different applications.
Picking the right one can be a minefield, do you go with an
automatic (with integrated float), channel or vortex impeller,
freestanding or guide rail mounted; does it need to be
continuously rated both submerged & immerged.
If you have to keep returning to site because of failures
or replace the pumps its good chance that they have been incorrectly sized, or they are unsuitable
for your application.
The site and application limitations must be taken into consideration, what are you pumping? what
is the inflow to the sump/chamber? what power is available? is there any solids or chemicals to
contend with? pipe work & rising main limitations? what is the size of the sump/chamber?
It sound complicated but again that’s where we come in, not only can we design and select the
right pump for your application, we can supply it, if you need it installed we have many associated
companies who are experienced in installing submersible pumps and their control systems.
Not all drainage submersibles are the same and they all have limitations,
its matching the pump to the application, and that requires an experience
engineer with practical knowledge not just a computer programme.
That’s what we do, we can take away the problem of design, selecting the right pump for the right
job, if you have not got a sump/chamber yet we can sort that too.
