Packaged Pumping Stations
We can help calculate the approx. flow rate of the pumps based on the estimated inflow (according
to drain connection values of appliances EN12056-2). There are many different sizes &
configurations of packaged submersible pump stations from the small behind the toilet/under sink
unit to large free-standing pump units, for both drainage & sewage applications.
Care should be taken not only to size & select the right pump but the
storage capacity of the chamber depending on the application. To
determine the discharge & installation criteria standards such as BS
EN12056 & Din 1986-100 should be followed. There are two main
types of installation above ground floor standing and below ground
chambers. These can vary depending on the application.
Picking the right one can be a minefield, do you go with a single pump or twin pump, if its to handel
sewage what is the free ball passage, do you need to comply with Building Regulations regarding
storage capacity what is the best option inside or outside, do you need to allow for solids handling,
what level controls, do you need independent alarms.
It sound complicated but again that’s where we can help, not only can we design and select the
right pump/chamber for your application, we can supply it, if you need it installed we have many
associated companies who are experienced in installing submersible pumps and their control
systems.
Our Zodiac series of chambers are available with 7
diameters,13 depths, that’s 91 tank sizes to cover
most applications
That’s what we do, we can take away the problem of designing, selecting the right pump/chamber
for the right job, if you have not got a sump/chamber yet we can sort that to.
